First Piece of Evidence
The first piece of evidence I chose to reflect the first teacher regulation branch standard is a reference letter. This letter can be seen in the embedded document below. There is also a downloadable file available below. This reference letter was written by my first sponsor teacher following my practicum. This practicum was during my fourth year of the five year bachelor of education program at Vancouver Island University.

Reflection
I chose this reference letter as evidence of standard one. This reference letter was written by my sponsor teacher after I completed my eleven week practicum in her classroom. The setting was a kindergarten French immersion classroom. I feel this reference letter reflects standard one, educators value and care for all students and act in their best interests. The reference letter refers to my professional conduct and my ability to connect with students. As a teacher I will continue to value and care for students. I know that is my responsibility as an educator to always act with the best interest of students in mind.
Second Piece of Evidence

There is also a downloadable file available belowI wrote anecdotal report for a reading analysis following a few visits at an inner city school. During these short visits I read with two students.

Reflection
I chose this anecdotal report to reflect standard one. This anecdotal report describes my experience reading with two students. I wrote the report after spending time with two grade four students, at an inner city school. The purpose of this report was to reflect on the students and also to send the analysis to the students' teacher. My first priority in these visits was to create a connection with the students and build a relationship. I felt this was important so that the students would felt safe. I knew it would be important to create a calm safe space for the students so that they would be able to open up and learn. This report reflects my ability to value and care for the students. During this process I kept the students best interest as my top priority. As a teacher I will always create safe environments for my students. I know that this is of the upmost importance so that students are able to learn, develop, and take healthy risk.
